With sadness, we share the passing of Charles Edward Foster of Newton, Iowa. Charles, born on January 14, 1941, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Clyde and Frances Esther Foster (Green); his former wife Judith Purvis; his wife Margaret Ostrander Repp; his siblings, Virgil Foster, Richard Foster, Larry Foster, Beulah Tegeler and Dorothy Berry; and his parents-in-law, Floyd and Maxine Purvis.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Denise Sedlock of Grinnell; and his close friends, Suzanne and Bob Johnson of Monroe. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kellogg United Methodist Church or the Kellogg Historical Society may be left at the funeral home.
