We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2024, at the age of 80, Fred Simons of Newton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Glenn Simons and Evelyn Simons (Castorf); his sister Glenda McGaha; and his stepgranddaughter Mackenzie Robinson. He is survived by : his wife Bonny Simons (Cobler); his children, Jenifer Liver of Denver, CO, Jeff Simons and James Simons of Sun City, Arizona; his stepchildren, Brandi Robinson (Erik Gustaitis) of Newton, Angela Langley (Jasen) of Altoona and Ryan Brown (Jeff Deal) of Little Rock, Arkansas; his stepgrandchildren, Shana Robinson of Altoona, Tyler Robinson of Newton, Connor Gustaitis of Newton, Savannah, Kale, Zoe, Oliver and Riley Langley of Altoona, Iowa; his brother David Simons (Paulette) of Newton, Iowa; his brother-in-law Jay McGaha; and his son-in-law Rex Robinson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (1300 N 4th Ave E, Newton, IA 50208). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Saint Andrews Lutheran Cemetery (8290 Hwy F62 E, Sully, IA 50251).
