He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Blackie" Phelps and Eleanor Phelps (Huss); and his siblings, Larry and Joan. He is survived by: his children, Jen Phelps of Marshalltown and Jeff Clark (Shawna) of Newton; and his grandchildren, Ceaira Vanderveer, Shyann King, Kaden Clark, Dustin Baker and Lacey Titus. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
