He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Southern and Lelia Southern (Walker); his wife Betty Southern; his daughter Deborah Brown; and his siblings, Robert Southern, Richard Southern, Russell Southern, Roy Southern, Beatrice French, Edith Singley and Bette Jean Cary.
He is survived by: his son David Southern (Amanda Corzette) of Reasnor; his grandsons, Matthew Brown (Meri) and Brock Southern (Somer Seals); and his great grandchildren, Jacquelin Veldhuizen (Cody), Alice Brown, Abraham Brown and Reynek Southern.
Memorials to the First Christian Church may be left at church the day of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
