It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janie Utterback of Newton, Iowa, born in Knoxville, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James K. Riherd and Sibyl Riherd (Donahue); her daughter Lisa; her sister Sally Riherd; her sister-in-law Shirley Riherd; and her in-laws, Gene and Doris Utterback.

She is survived by : her former life partner Gary Clingman; her husband Randy Utterback; her children, Chris Clingman (Kathy), Brian Utterback, Brad Utterback (Shannon), Lori Krumboltz (Sean) and Becky Stephens (Brad); her brothers, William Riherd and Phillip Riherd (Barbara); and her brother-in-law Rick Utterback (Karla).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marion County Humane Society.
