She was predeceased by: her parents, Ward Peterson and Edna Peterson (Ebaugh); her husband Dr. Erwin Wittenberg (Erv); and her siblings, Jean Nichols and Ray Peterson.

She is survived by: her children, Colleen Wittenberg of Newton, Dr. Craig Wittenberg (Angela) of Pella and Cami Gunsaulus (Aaron) of Newton; and her brother Richard Peterson of Vicksburg, MS. She is also survived by her fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, memorials may be designated to First United Methodist Church or to Progress Industries.
