Kathryn Sheryl Ferguson Obituary
In loving memory of Kathryn Sheryl Ferguson of Newton, Iowa, who departed this world on December 7, 2025 at the age of 87. Kathryn leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Leroy Koder and Gwendolyn Catheryne Koder (Jack); her husband James Edward Ferguson (Jim); her son Jim Ferguson, Jr.; and her brother Jerry Koder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Lynn Bagnall (Brent), Kristy Joann Warren (Andrew) and Janet Lea Dooley (Robert); her grandchildren, James Ferguson, Amanda Sites, Aric, Adam, Kyle Warren, Madison Bagnall, Johnathan and Catherine Dooley; her siblings, Gene Koder and Sandra Davis; and her sister-in-law Elaine Koder-Cassady. She is also survived by her five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (210 N 2nd Ave E, Newton, IA 50208). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:30 AM.
We ask that any memorial donations be made to The First United Methodist Church or to the Park Centre Garden View activity fund.
