Kimberly Heimann Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kimberly Heimann of Newton, Iowa, who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Kimberly departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Kimberly may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Kimberly leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Leinen and Grace Leinen (Bergstrom); her husband Ray; and her brother Scott Leinen. She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Heimann of Newton and Sara Van Maaren (Eddie Ballesteros) of Newton; her granddaughters, Kayley Van Maaren and Ava Van Maaren; and her brother Gary Leinen (Sarah) of Bozeman, Montana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials to the Jasper County Museum or the Newton Arboretum may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
