Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lucy Schwarz of Newton, Iowa, born in Vilonia, Arkansas, who passed away at the age of 82, on April 4, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harley Johnson and Dorothy Johnson (Ruple); her mother-in-law Mabel Schwarz; her son Scott Schwarz; and her brother Carl "Sonny" Johnson.

She is survived by : her husband Frank Schwarz; her daughter Lyndi Yardley (Brian); her grandchildren, Jordan Yardley (Ryan), Nick Yardley, Stephanie Parks (Andre) and Sara Whisenand (David); her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Braelyn, Charli, Cameron, Carleigh Lucille and Cali; her nephew Ron Johnson; her niece Jaime Johnson-Hendricks; and her pet Niko.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Community Heights Alliance Church (2500 S 13th Ave E, Newton, IA 50208).
