She was predeceased by : her parents, Maurice Cecil and Lillian Bertha Sopha Swanton (Hinz); her husband Carlton Neale Harford; her siblings-in-law, Meredith Swanton and Donald Harford; her son Michael; and her granddaughter Stephanie Chesshire.

She is survived by : her siblings, Darlene Koch (Gerald) of Clarksville, TN and Kenneth Swanton of Goose Lake, IA; her daughters, Melinda Burgess of Newton, Patti Casper (Randy Wickham) of Montezuma and Sheryl Bailey (Darrell); and her pets, Vicki Wade (Shawn) of Newton and Matthew Harford of Des Moines.
