She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyal Brown and Rachel Brown (Smith); her husband Keith Schwartz; and her siblings, Marie Van Der (Donald), Floyd, Karl and Harold Brown (Lois).
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Brown (Curt) and Janet Graham (John); her brother Duane Brown (Grace); and her sisters-in-law, Lois Corrigan and Lenis Brown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; along with many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home (310 N 2nd Ave E, Newton, IA 50208). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be made on her behalf to the Alzheimer's Association or WesleyLife Hospice.
