She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Butler and Florence Butler (Crawford); her former husband Tim McDermott; her granddaughter Jenna McDermott; and her brothers, Gale Butler, JD Butler and Reid Butler.
She is survived by: her children, Paul McDermott (Chris) of Des Moines, Dee Kramer (Kevin) of Thornton, CO, Laurie Clausen (Mike) of Bennett, CO and Trent McDermott (Marcia) of Urbandale; her grandchildren, Derek McDermott (Heaven), Danny McDermott (Maricruz), Carter McDermott, TJ Clausen, Jorja McDermott, Chloe Kramer and Karissa Bustos (Angelo); and her great grandchildren, Kaia, Deklin, Maya McDermott, Marley and McKenzie Bustos.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials to the ARL of Iowa can be left at the funeral home.
