He was predeceased by: his parents, John Martan and Eva Gladys Van Baale (Oldham); his wife Betty Lou Skaggs; his children, Kevin Van Baale and Rhonda Van Baale; and his siblings, Nathella Beamer, Horace Van Baale, Darrell Van Baale and Annamae Wells.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jesse Van Baale (Breighann), Lori Gonser (Cody), Betty Van Baale and Drew Thurman; his great grandchildren, Shelby Van Baale, Brandon Van Baale, Kohlton Van Brogen, Emily Van Sant, Hailey Gonser, Keegan Gonser, Corbin Gonser, William Clark IV, Benjamin Clark and Patelynn Kinslow; and his sister Bessie McKeag.
