She was predeceased by: her pet Spartan; her nephew Quincy Russom; her grandparents, Bernard Jacobsmeier, Ralph Nay, June, Wilmer Schmidt, Ann Mayer and Mildred Dawson; her aunts and uncles, Danny Joe Fedler, David Plempel, John Schmidt, Sheri Kennell and Patty Plempel; and her cousin Kim Maxie.
She is survived by: her grandmother Laverne Jacobsmeier; her father Bob Nay; her stepmother Cheryl Nay; her mother Rose Schmidt; her stepfather Rich Schmidt; her sister Jennifer Edwards; her sibling's children, Kobi Russom and Emeral Greene; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Serenity, Zion and Kingston; her friend Adrian Card; and her pets, Mellow, Felix, Domino and Riley. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
