He was predeceased by: his father James Bird; and his wife Judy Lynn Aves. He is survived by: his mother Karen E. Bird (Henaman); his son Will (Alyssa) of Waterloo; and his siblings, Rick Bird (Tammy) of Manly and Sue Field (Wayne) of Mason City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
