He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Waltz and Mary Waltz; his wife Sondra Kay Hurst; his siblings, Ed Waltz, Betty Overton (Keith) and Kathy Holliday; and his son-in-law Klon David Ellis.
He is survived by: his daughter Pam Ellis of Hartman, AR; his granddaughter Abigail Ellis-Stricker (Chris) of Prairie Grove, AR; his son Brad Waltz (Ronda) of Creston; his grandson Nathan Waltz (Sabrina) of Eagle, NE; his great grandchildren, Colton, Karsyn and Lucas Waltz (Alison) of Creston; Lydia, Lauren, Christopher and Matthew Waltz (Shantelle) of Creston.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Winterset Chapel (1823 N John Wayne Dr, Winterset, IA 50273). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Winterset Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a future date.
