He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patty; his daughters, Kelly, Maggie and Jacy; his sons-in-law, Roman and Josh; his grandchildren, Deklyn, Maks, Evee, Sasha, Charlie, George and JJ; his siblings, Michael (Celeste), Kevin (Tammy) and Annie; and his parents, Edward Rooney and Marilyn Rooney. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as ever expanding great, great nieces and nephews.

“I am so very sorry to hear of Dr Rooney’s death. And even sadder to read of his long struggle with cancer. He was my doctor from 1985 until he retired from the practice. I think he was the first doctor that actually talked to me before I had to get in a gown. He was a great doctor- very kind and knowledgeable. I’m sorry I was not able to go to his services- we just got back from vacation. He loved his family so much. . 🙏🏻🙏🏻”

“I/we are so very sorry, Dr. Rooney passed away, it has taken me this long, to be able to write this to "ALL" of you, his family. He was THE BEST!! He taught me SO VERY MUCH thru out the time he was my specialist. I thank God, he became my specialist/SLE/Lupus, diagnosis. He taught me POSITIVENESS. He was my specialist for many, many years & he will always be my #1 Specialist. I have lived a long life & continue to "do" as he taught me. I am thankful for the MANY years I was blessed to have him.”
