He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Mau and Alice Mau (Stuve); his wife Della Jean Mau; his daughter Marnie Marie Mau; his daughter-in-law Tammy Mau; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Updike, Larry Pratt, Gerald "Babe" Crowell, Ross Sweeden, Leo Grote, Ike Albrecht, Raymond Albrecht (June) and Lola Marron (Gilbert).
He is survived by: his children, Darla Lawson (Roger) of Woodbine, IA and Patrick Mau of Odebolt, IA; his siblings, Kathy Crowell, Chucky Mau (Diane), Wayne Mau (Debby), Nancy Pratt, Linda Updike and Richard Mau; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sweeden, Lois Grote and Carolyn Albrecht. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
