We bid farewell to Paul R. Wayland of Odebolt, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Paul touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Elmer and Georgia Wayland (Brown); and his granddaughter Rachel Putzier. He is survived by: his wife Sharyn Wayland; his children, Donald Wayland, Penny Wayland and Christine Boysen (Gail); and his stepchildren, Tom Schramm, Tammy Lindner and Tanya Pierce (Dave). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home (213 5th St, Odebolt, IA 51458). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
