He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Francis and Clara Helen Maddigan (Meier); his brother James Maddigan; and his brother-in-law John Louwagie. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Maddigan of Oelwein; his sons, James Maddigan (Kaye) of Oelwein and Mark Maddigan (Joyce) of Jacksonville; and his siblings, Roger Maddigan (Linda) of Williamsville, Dennis Maddigan (Cassie) of Fairbank, JoAnn Louwagie of Sioux Falls and Carol Rohwer (Mervin) of Safety Harbor, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home (221 N Frederick Ave, Oelwein, IA 50662). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
