He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Franklin and Mildred May Stout (Edington); his wife Karen Kay Bratten; his siblings, Bernadine and Wallace; and his sister-in-law Deloris Richardson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jaime Stout-Ohl (Benjamin) of Oelwein and Kara Stout of Waterloo, Iowa; his grandchildren, James, Masci and Zavier Stout-Ohl; his sister Betty Neeley of Cottonwood City, Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Pingree (Harry), George Bratten and Reuben Kruize. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
