She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Burdette and Lillian Clara Voshell (Bickert); her husband James Carroll Skinner; her daughter Shawna Skinner; her siblings, Allen Voshell and Mary Ellen Good; her sister-in-law Mary Voshell; and her in-laws, Gene and Betty Skinner.
She is survived by: her children, Angie Deserano (Danny) of Cedar Falls, Melissa Cosgriff of Oelwein and Alfred Skinner of Waterloo; her sister Cheryl Davis of Lime Springs; her son-in-law Christopher Cosgriff of Maynard; her grandchildren, Marissa Skinner, Nicholas Skinner, Clara Cosgriff (Keegan Becker), Sydnee Cosgriff, Brandon Hoefer (Jordan), Matt Truax (Aubrey), Whitney Truax (Markus Orr), Kyrah Deserano, Gaberial Olson and Isaiah Olson; her great grandchildren, Liam, Jae Hoefer, Karson, Eastyn Truax and Marina Orr; and her close friends, Bev Love and Mitchell Jordan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home (221 N Frederick Ave, Oelwein, IA 50662). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
