He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur L. Petsche and Charmion Petsche (Kellogg); his parents-in-law, LaFonda and Charles Conner; and his siblings, Mary Ann Petsche, Judy Petsche and John Petsche.
He is survived by : his wife Teresa Petsche of Oelwein; his children, Trena Petsche of Oelwein and Richard "Rich" Petsche, Jr. (Marcia) of Harpers Ferry; his grandchildren, Taryn Tibboel, Connor Petsche, Madalyn Petsche and Ethan Petsche; and his siblings, Art Petsche (Willa) of Sand Springs, Jerry Petsche of Hawkeye, Gary Petsche (Joyce) of Hawkeye, Dan Petsche of Haslet, Tom Petsche (Kathy) of Solon, Trish Peebles of Urbana, Randy Petsche of Iowa City, William Petsche of Iowa City, Cindy Petsche of Iowa City and Jim Petsche of Iowa City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
