He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Block and Mildred Block (Probst); his brother Dennis Block; and his brothers-in-law, Reinhold, Verdeen PaVelec, Ed, Arnetta Whitt, Louis Becker, Aaron McKenzie and Virgil Fasse.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Westendorf of John's Lutheran Church; his sons, Mike Block (Becky) of Calamus and Brad Block (Misty) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Hailey of Wayzata, MN, Jackson of Traer, Annaliese, Anderson and Piper of Cedar Falls; and his sisters-in-law, Rheta Block of Sumner, Marlene Fasse and Jolene McCurdy (William) of Waverly.
