It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry F. Backman of Ogden, Iowa, who passed away on November 29, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerry F. Backman to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his father Albin Backman; and his brother-in-law Greg Roberts. He is survived by : his mother Corrine Backman (Durden) of Boone; his wife JoNell Eckhardt; his daughters, Shari Brennan (Steve) of Silver Lake, WA and Brenda Backman (Jim Meldrem) of Story City; his grandchildren, Joshua Brennan and Samantha Sondermayer (Luke); his great grandchild Sawyer Sondermayer; his sister Shirley Roberts; and his nephew Neil Promes (Sharon).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
