He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Swanson and Nellie Swanson (Dahl); and his siblings, Darlene Ball, Rollin Swanson and Verle Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Swanson of Ogden, IA; his sons, Tim Swanson of Columbus, NE and Terry Swanson (Amy) of Johnston, IA; his grandchildren, Brent Swanson of Grimes, IA and Rachel Spear (Jack) of Chicago, IL; and his siblings, Dwain Swanson (Dorothy) of Ankeny, IA, Bob Swanson of Ankeny, IA, Ken Swanson (Betty Jo) of Boone, IA and Yvonne Guhl (Lyle) of Plymouth, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John's Catholic Church (325 SW 9th St, Ogden, IA 50212). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
