We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2023, at the age of 88, LaVerda Mae Prouty of Ogden, Iowa, born in Afton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Truman Russell and Helen Russell (Donner); her husband Estel Prouty; her daughter Margaret Malone; and her brothers, Harry and Roland Russell.

She is survived by : her sons, Jeff Prouty (Patty) of Ankeny, Randy Prouty (Pam) of Boone and Marty Prouty (Linda) of Boone; and her siblings, Kenneth Russell, John Russell (Ruby), Oliver Russell (Cathy), Donald Russell (Donna), Roger Russell (Barb), Edna Recker (LeRoy), Marjorie McVay and Diane Kempf. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Ogden Baptist Church in memory of LaVerda Prouty.
