It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Riemenschneider of Okoboji, Iowa, who passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Riemenschneider and Ann Riemenschneider (Paulsen); his close friends, Larry Bendlin and Tom Willey; his stepson Mike Graeber (Paula) of Lakeville, MN; his stepfather Carl Reinbold; and his brother Dick.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Mary; his son Andrew; his spouse Gail; his child Shannon Smith; his adoptive son Jason Riemenschneider of Tea, SD; his stepchildren, Kimberly Froendt (Dave Wieczorek) of Grand Island, NE and Mark Graeber (Debbie) of Clovis, CA.; and his brothers, Dean of Pierson, IA and Larry (Mary) of Lawton, IA..
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home (1302 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
