He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Harms and Dolores Harms (Christiansen); and his siblings, Dorothea Horsfall, Donna Gilliand and Darrell Harms.
He is survived by: his former wife Angie Haskin; his children, Dawn Bixler (Mike French) of Onslow, Lynette VandeVenter (Stuart) of Tiskilwa, Adam Harms of Olin and Dustin Harms (Chelsey Havill) of Mount Vernon; and his sisters, Dorrene Smith of Minnesota, Davina Matthews (Skip) of Prairie du Chien and Dana Reed of Prairie du Chien. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hammer's Hideaway (319 Jackson St, Olin, IA 52320).
