She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Burke and Mabel Burke (Bartholomew); her sons, Peter Andrew Zortman and Thomas Gerard Zortman; her siblings, Eunice Wahlke (Jack), Marilyn Kratz (Doyle) and Ronnie Burke (Juanita); her great grandchild Armstrong Zortman; and her son-in-law Brad Fossberg.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Zortman (Carolyn) of Hartford, Dick "Doc" Zortman (Louanne) of Sioux City, Jeannee Fossberg of Grand Island, Kathryn Clarkson (Terry) of Lawton, Carole Syse (Randy) of Waukesha and Karen Zortman of Thornton, Colorado; and her caregiver Sue Hatch. She is also survived by two grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (1009 13th St, Onawa, IA 51040). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
