It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph John Komarek of Onawa, Iowa, who passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Komarek and Leona Komarek (Haskovec); his wife Mary Komarek; his children, Fredrick, Staci, Christina, Brenda Miller and Mike Komarek; his granddaughter Mystie Kreimeyer; and his siblings, Irene Brand and John Komarek.
He is survived by : his sons, Ed Komarek of Knoxville and Danny Komarek (Kathy) of Onawa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Danny Komarek (Angela), Christy Madsen (Richard), Angie Komarek, Staci Crawford (Kevin), Amanda Komarek, Michael Komarek (Stacy), Heather Shockey (James), Dustin Kreimeyer, Andrew Kreimeyer (Lacey), Jeramy Komarek and Joey Komarek (Billie); and his sisters, Mary Narveson (David), Leona Heit (Edward) and Margaret Komarek. He is also survived by twenty-two great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
