He was predeceased by: his parents, Holger Alfred Hansen and Florence Irene Shafer; his son Mark Kenneth; his wife Shirley Stoner Hansen; his children, LeAnn McClure, Steve Hansen, Julie Hansen and Kelly Hansen; his grandson-in-law Dan Nelson; his siblings, Herbert Hansen, June Schweibert and Margaret Bahrenfuss; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Bahrenfuss, Bob Cook, Bob Schweibert, Laverne Bell and Donna Hansen.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Mortensen of Onawa, Iowa; his son-in-law Robert McClure of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Bobbie Sherer (Craig) of Onawa, Shellie Nelson of Thurston, Michael McClure of Onawa, Joshua Henry (Krista) of Omaha, Zachary Henry of Sioux City and Meghan Henry (Ben Manning) of Sioux City, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Xavier Sherer, Wyatt Sherer of Onawa, Londyn Nelson of Wayne, Elijah Nelson of Omaha, Lauren Anderson of Sioux City, Brendyn Recker of Thurston, Maliann, Ansen McClure of Hawaii, Nora McClure of Onawa, Eleanor Henry of Omaha, Joplin Manning and Hazen Henry of Sioux City, Iowa; and his siblings, Wilbur Hansen of Des Moines, Iowa, Ruth Cook of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Clara Bell of Webster City, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel (1629 10th St, Onawa, IA 51040). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
