He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Mings and Julia Mings (Baucom); and his siblings, Charles "Joe" Mings (Julia), Clarence "Bill" Mings, James Mings (Barb), Francis "Jack" Mings (Marcella), Edward Mings (June), Larry Mings and Elizabeth "Betty" Vredenburgh.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Mings of Onawa, Iowa; his children, Jodie Nielsen (Bill) of Onawa and Kevin Mings of Onawa, Iowa; his grandsons, Brett Nielsen (Abigael Meth) of Sioux City and Vince Nielsen (Jessie Funkhouser) of Sioux City, Iowa; his son Bill King of Onawa, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Ruth Mings. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
