He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Edward, Alvena Pittet (Reiland), Orvil and Verna Schoenauer (Buche); and his granddaughters, Lainey Gipple and Savannah Gipple.

He is survived by: his parents, Duane Pittet and Linda Pittet (Schoenauer) of Plainview, Nebraska; his wife Brenda Pittet of Onawa, Iowa; his children, Dylan Pittet of Onawa, Marlee Pittet of Onawa, Ashlee Pittet of Onawa, Jaxon Pittet of Onawa, Chris Gipple (Erin) of Washington, Justin Ruby (Kaitlyne) of Elk Point and Taylor Glanzer (Nathan) of Onawa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Bentley Corio, Dawson Gipple, Lincoln Glanzer, Evelyn Ruby and Avery Glanzer; and his sisters, Deb Johnson (Jerry) of Plainview and Shelley Springer (Jody) of Osmond, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
