He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward John and Sylvia Lubbers (Vos); his wife Faith Arlene Roos; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Jaarsma Lubbers; his sister Phyllis Nelms; and his brother-in-law Rod Mulder.
He is survived by: his children, Randal Lubbers (Cristina Thomas) of Pleasant Hill, Daniel Lubbers (Kavita) of Omaha, Nebraska and Karen Lubbers of Waukee; his grandchildren, John Lubbers (Stephanie), Elyse (Michael Otten), Luke Lubbers (Gabby), Stephanie Bosgraaf, Michelle (Scott Van Wyngarden), Elisabeth (Heath Reichle), Steven Lubbers and Sunita (Drake Rapaich); and his sister Laura Mulder of Estes Park, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oolman Funeral Home - Orange City (216 Albany Ave NE, Orange City, IA 51041). A prayer will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Reformed Church - Orange City (201 St Paul Ave SE, Orange City, IA 51041). A burial will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at the West Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials will be given to the Trinity Reformed Church.
