Irwin D. De Jong Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 25, 2025, at the age of 74, Irwin D. De Jong of Orange City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Isaac and Tena De Jong (Dragstra); and his brother Will De Jong. He is survived by: his wife Judy Bouma of Orange City; his children, Shelly (Adam Wendt) of Le Mars, Tom De Jong (Amber) of Sioux Center, Sherry (Trent Johnson) of Sioux City, Daniel De Jong (Shantrel) of Brandon and Nathaniel De Jong of Orange City; his grandchildren, Emma, Logan Wendt, Jaidyn, Isaac, Caleb, Jacob, Lucas De Jong, Braden, Connor, Dylan Johnson, Avalee, Cora, Judah and Ethan De Jong; his brothers, Cal De Jong of Orange City and Paul De Jong of Tamil Nadu, India; his sister-in-law Lavonne De Jong of Hull; his siblings, Lois (Gary Strei) of Hancock, Bonnie (Dave Stabnow) of Nashville, Tennessee, Dave (Brenda Bouma) of Farmington, Minnesota and Haftamu (Zewdu); and his nieces and nephews, Nathan, Delina, Josiah and Ivana. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Unity Christian High School or Glen Eyrie, a Ministry of the Navigators.
