With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lois DeBeer of Orange City, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lois left this world on June 7, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fred; her daughter Rachel; her siblings, Henry (Shirley), Enno, Donald, Lawrence (Janet), Marie Kuik (George), Bernyce Wassenaar (Alfred) and Kathleen Van Wyk (Peter); and her siblings-in-law, Myrna Wielenga, Minerva Van Peursem (David), Peter DeBeer, Stanley Vander Aarde, Kermit Hoffs, Jack Wilson and Duane Peuse.
She is survived by: her children, Peter DeBeer (Rachael), Judy Stark (Craig), Sheila DeBoer (Keith), Shawn Langkamp (David), Pam Nogel (Steve), Jill Apel (Garret), Becky Vander Wilt (Ed) and Chris DeBeer (Kristen); her grandchildren, Amber Larson (Eric), Kelli Stravers (Justin), Peter Klopfenstein (Sarah Douglass), Aaron DeBoer (Amy), Patrick DeBoer, Linsey Hoppestad (David), Andrew Langkamp (Melissa), Katie Bishop (Justin), Stephen Nogel (Lauren), Nicholas Nogel (Libby), Kristine Apel (Kyle Atteberry), Anna Fedders (Noah), Michael Vander Wilt (Alyssa), Jessica Koedam (Joshua), Joseph Vander Wilt (Ashley), Jack DeBeer, Ellie DeBeer (Clayton Ginger) and Owen DeBeer; her siblings, Delores Kramer (Henry) and Vern Wielenga; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Wielenga, Janice Wielenga, Darlene Vander Aarde, Marilyn Hoffs, Ruth Wilson, Laura Peuse and John DeBeer (Mona Baumgartel). She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials will be given to the Orange City Home Health and Hospice and the First Christian Reformed Church.
