Peter Van Peursem Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Van Peursem of Orange City, Iowa, who passed away on April 25, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Peursem and Catherine Van Peursem (Wiersma); his wife Phyllis D. Stallbaum; his son Michael Van Peursem; his sister Berdella Van Peursem; his great grandchild Zane Patch; and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Stallbaum and Darlene (Eugene Van Roekel).
He is survived by: his children, James (Denise Van Peursem) of Evergreen, Colorado and Susan (Evan De Weerd) of Orange City; Jill Walters, Laurie Raubacher (Chris), Michaela Patch (Brenden), Emma Natalie (Jesse), Mary, Morgan Van Peursem, Lauren Van Peursem, Ryan De Weerd, Katie Schmidt (Jordan), Marjorie and Dick Reid of Iowa City. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law.
Memorials will be given to the ALS Association.
