He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Arends and Mary Arends (Hartman); his siblings, Harold Jr. and Joyce (Maurice Bly); his siblings-in-law, Roberto Colon, Sharon Arends, Jane Krommendyk and Shirley Beltman; his siblings' children, Dawn Chauncey, Kimberly Krommendyk and Josh Beltman; Clarence and Jeanette Den Hartog.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia of Orange City; his sons, Troy (Darla Arends) and Todd (Julie Arends); his grandchildren, Tate Arends (Hannah), Alexa (Caleb Lansing), Kael Arends, Tyus Arends, Hope Arends (Carter Kats) and Brady Arends; his great grandchildren, Titus and Nelly Arends; his siblings, Doretta Colon, Marilyn (Harold Russman) and Donald (Michele Arends); and his siblings-in-law, Becky (Curtis Vogel), Donna Den Hartog, Dennis Den Hartog (Sharon), Fred Krommendyk and Daryl Beltman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorials will be given to the Midwest Honor Flight.
