With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arlene Stangl of Orchard, Iowa, born in Templeton, Iowa, who passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Weitl and Anna Weitl (Liewer); her husband Gaylord Stangl; her daughters, Gail Darby, Sandie Gonnerman, Faye Seidl (Dave) and Julie Schlichte; and her siblings, Nola Kohorst, Richard Weitl, Marlo Weitl and Charles Weitl.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Stangl (Jill) of Coon Rapids, Royce Stangl of Coon Rapids, Peggy (Martin) of Tezanos Pinto, Linda Byrum (Joe) and Leann McElroy (Dan); her sons-in-law, Jim Darby, Rod Gonnerman and LeRoy Schlichte; her siblings, Norbert Weitl and Myra Weitl; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Weitl, Almyra Weitl and Pat Weitl. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
