He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Winfield McKinney and Mary Elizabeth Chaney; and his brothers, Patrick and Larry. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Tompkins; his daughters, Wendy, Kim and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Miguel Jr. and Jada Lynn; and his brothers, Gale McKinney (Audra) and Gary McKinney (Marcia). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home - Greenfield (101 SE 4th St, Greenfield, IA 50849). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Orient United Methodist Church (124 S Maple St, Orient, IA 50858). A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Zion Cemetery.
