She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Merle Young and Martha Elisabeth Young; her husband Arthur Stephen Purdy; her son Gene Purdy; her brothers, Tom Young, Richard Young and Harry Young; her parents-in-law, Arthur Leslie Purdy and Elma Etta Purdy; and her grandchildren, Chad Seamon, Todd Frantzen, Tonya Florence and Kristin Purdy.
She is survived by : her daughter Martha; her son-in-law Jack Rew of Overland Park, KS; her son Bill; her daughters-in-law, Linda Purdy of Orient, IA and Donna Purdy of Milford, IA; and her sister Claudia Hammond (Gary) of Waco, TX. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the Plymouth Congregational Church in Orient.
