With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Marie Taets (Osage, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Jean Marie find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her husband Russell; her sisters, Joan Wetherall, Frances Larson and Ruth Shelledy (Joe Kleespies Jr.); and her great grandchild Kenady Bartz.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Taets (Janet), Ann Phelps (Gary) and Loren Taets (Tammy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Home in Osage, IA.
