He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Meitner and Anna Meitner (Popp); his wife Lorraine Isaac; his siblings, Gerald Meitner and Darlene Elliott; and his brothers-in-law, Carl "Jim" Voight and Mel Elliott.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Duggan (John) of Mason City, Keith Meitner (Gena) of Osage, Elizabeth Lightcap (Mark) of Dubuque, Mark Meitner (Kristi) of Eldorado, Loretta Koch (Rodney) of Osage and Lavonne Suhr (Edward) of Fredericksburg; his sister Marcella Voight of Osage; and his sister-in-law Charlotte Meitner of St. Ansgar. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (218 S 12th St, Osage, IA 50461). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
