Richard John Brown Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard John Brown of Osage, Iowa, who passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Brown and Margaret Brown (Gaffey); and his siblings, Charlene, James and Judith.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Voaklander (Becky); his children, Paul Brown (Mary) of Stacyville, IA, Vicki (Ronan) of Castle Pines, CO and Jeanne; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Will), Bridget, Rachel (Kyle), Maria (Nick), Simon, Nathan, Nicholas, Brittany, Zackary and Stephen; and his great grandchildren, Otis, Beatrix and Daphne. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (218 S 12th St, Osage, IA 50461). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Visitation Catholic Cemetery.
