With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Louise Kentner (Osceola, Iowa), born in Leon, Iowa, who passed away on October 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Doris departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Doris. Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Eugene Kentner; her daughter Kathi Kentner; her parents, Samuel Daniel and Rushia Bright; and her siblings, Verda May Wolfe, Arthur Bright and Fay Alberta Bright.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Kentner of Denver, Colorado and Jill Stanton; and her son-in-law Brian Stanton of Carmel, Indiana. She is also survived by one grandson, three granddaughters, numerous nephews and nieces, along with other relatives and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church (300 S Main St, Osceola, IA 50213).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a tribute to be decided later.
