He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Zehr and Dorothy Zehr (Elam) of Manchester; his former spouse Nyla VanRoekel; his children, Benjamin, Nicholas and Margaret; his wife Sherry VerPloeg of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Ty, Tate Zehr, Charles and Henry Albright; and his siblings, Dana McMurrin (Curtis) of Manchester, Christian Zehr (Angela) of Manchester and Lynn Zehr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
