It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Van Dyk (Oskaloosa, Iowa), who passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Gerrit A. Dyk and Reino Tilma Van Dyk; his daughter Connie Jo; and his siblings, Frank, Raymond Van Dyk, Jennie DeGeus, Cora McCall and Lorena Warder.

He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Van Dyk of Plymouth, Minnesota; his children, Rick Van Dyk (Christie), Debra Schultz (Dan) and Julie McKay (Neil); his grandchildren, Dustin Van Dyk (Kasey), Nicole Opalewski (Dan), Kyle Schultz (Amanda), Matthew McKay (Kimberly), Jessica Nault (Benj) and Erin McKay; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb Schultz, Jaxon, Sawyer Schultz, Addison, Garrett and Parker Van Dyk.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the Langkamp Funeral Chapel (2116 N 3rd St, Oskaloosa, IA 52577). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
