He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Phillips and Helen Traister Phillips. He is survived by: his former wife Louise Shipman; his wife Judy Terpstra; his daughters, Kristi Bridges of Oskaloosa and Kim Dixon (Steve) of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Randie Gist (Kalob) and Eric Bridges (Liam); his great grandchild Kamden; and also Judy Phillips.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bates Funeral Chapel (114 S 7th St, Oskaloosa, IA 52577). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Forest Cemetery (634 N 9th St, Oskaloosa, IA 52577). A burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the MHP Hospice Serenity House or the American Legion Memorial Day Committee.
