He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur LeRoy and Donna Jean Russell McCartney; and his siblings, Janice McCartney, Marlene Bunnell and Jeffrey McCartney.
He is survived by: his sons, Adam McCartney (Melisa Young) of Oskaloosa and Michael McCartney-Sams of Ottumwa; his grandson Jayden McCartney; his sisters, Nancy McCartney (James Shook) of Pella and Deb McCartney (Reggie Schmit) of Nebraska; and his sister-in-law Loretta McCartney of Beacon.
